Having recently won the Best Craftsperson category in the Country Living Kitchen Table Talent Awards, Jo is excited by the opportunity to develop and share her craft to a wider audience.

 

 

Jo Butcher, Embroidery Artist

With Jo's background in fashion design she now creates characteristically English embroideries.

Her inspiration is from traditional country gardens and the rural simplicity of wild flower meadows. This is combined with her love of hearts, all things shabby chic, and vintage textiles embroidered by her grandmother's generation.

Jo embroiders her intricate stitches by hand or machine (sometimes both) onto hand painted backgrounds or reclaimed vintage linens.

Jo's aim is to create heirlooms for the future by capturing the essence of the English countryside for your home.
